It stretches from the slopes of the promontory of Piombino and the Gulf of Baratti, there was a city Etruscan and Roman known since ancient times for its intense metallurgical activity, the park covers 80 hectares.

The access points to the park are two, one located on the Gulf of Baratti (Necropolis) and one at the historical center of Populonia high (Acropolis).
